Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how EstateMage collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use EstateMage and the website at estatemage.com (the Service). EstateMage is software that helps estate-sale organizers create, publish, and embed estate-sale listings. This policy covers both organizers who create accounts and shoppers who follow organizers by email.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information to operate the Service:

• Account information. The email address you use to sign up, managed through our authentication provider. You can sign up with an email and password or with Google.
• Company profile. The business details you choose to provide, such as your business name, description, website, phone number, and contact email.
• Sale and item content. The listings you create, including sale details, item descriptions, and the photos you upload.
• Shopper follow-emails.When a shopper chooses to follow an organizer, we collect the email address they provide so we can send updates about that organizer's sales.
• Payment information. When you buy a listing credit or subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe. Stripe processes your card details; we do not store full payment card numbers.
• Usage information. Basic technical information such as log data and device or browser details that help us keep the Service running, secure, and reliable.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• provide, maintain, and improve the Service and its features;
• publish your listings in the public directory and render the embeds you place on your own website;
• process payments, manage credits, and administer subscriptions through Stripe;
• send transactional email (such as account, billing, and listing notifications) and, where a shopper has followed an organizer, send updates about that organizer's sales;
• respond to your support requests; and
• protect the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these ways:

• Service providers. We use trusted providers to run the Service, including Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication), Convex (data storage), Resend (email), and Google (optional sign-in). They handle information only to provide their services to us.
• Public listings. Information you include in a published listing, including your company profile and item photos, is shown publicly by design (see below).
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of EstateMage, our users, or the public.

4. Public Content

EstateMage is a publishing tool, so published listings are meant to be public. When you publish a sale, the listing content, your company profile details, and item photos can appear in the EstateMage public directory and in the embeds you add to your own website, where they may be viewed and shared by anyone. Please avoid including information in a listing that you would not want to be public.

5. Email Communications

We send transactional email that is necessary to run the Service, such as billing and account messages. We also send follow updates: when a shopper follows an organizer, they receive email about that organizer's sales, sent through our email provider. Every follow email includes an unsubscribe link, and shoppers can opt out at any time.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your account is managed through Supabase and your content is stored in Convex. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices and Rights

• Access and update. You can view and edit your account email, company profile, and listings from your dashboard.
• Unpublish. You can unpublish a listing to remove it from the public directory and embeds.
• Unsubscribe. Shoppers can unsubscribe from follow emails at any time using the link in any such email.
• Delete. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@estatemage.com. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, or billing purposes.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the Service to work, such as keeping you signed in. We do not use them to track you across unrelated websites for advertising.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
